My father had a darkroom in the basement. By the time I was in kindergarten, I was shooting and developing my pictures. That's me, circa 1976, with my first camera. I cannot remember when I did not have a camera in my hand. I have spent nearly half a century learning my craft. My favorite pictures are candids. I love to capture an unguarded moment.
I found my love for horses much later in life. My son is a professional equestrian, so I started hanging around barns and horse shows because of him—and, of course, I brought my camera.
